Northwest CT is full of scenic water bodies which are great for stand up paddleboarding.
Whether you're interested in sales, rentals, demos, or instruction, we are excited to meet your stand up paddleboarding needs. We truly enjoy getting people out on the water, especially first timers. One of the things we love about paddleboarding is that just about everyone can do it, and it takes only a short time to get comfortable and enjoy the water.
We have multiple rental options, and you're free to take the paddleboard wherever you'd like. Our two favorite spots in Northwest Connecticut are Highland Lake and West Hill Pond. Both are about a 5 minute drive from our store.

We offer one-on-one and small group (up to 6 people) instruction for $55 per person, for an hour and a half.
Group lessons of more than 6 people are $45 per person, for an hour.
Sessions consist of on-land instruction, with the majority of the time paddling and enjoying the scenery. All equipment - stand up paddleboards, paddles, and life vests are included.
Your instruction fee is applicable toward purchase of a paddleboard within the same calendar year, up to a maximum of $75 (if you take multiple classes).
Buying a stand up paddleboard is a big investment, and there are significant differences between how boards paddle. We have demo models available for just about every board we have, including every BOTE model we stock. We are happy to take you out for a demo. If we take you out, we'll go to either Highland Lake or West Hill Pond and there is no charge. If you transport the boards yourself, a $150 deposit is required. The deposit will be refunded if the board comes back in the same condition in which it left.
